Porsche is reviewing and updating the software for the power electronics and the engine control unit on approximately 43,000 Taycan and Taycan Cross Turismo vehicles from the 2020 to 2021 model years. According to the reports from Porsche Taycan owners claiming a sudden and unexpected loss of power the system needs an update to fix the sudden power loss issue with the PIWIS3 Tester. A software update will be installed in the workshop. Owners of the affected vehicles can continue to use them and the software update will take about 1-4 hours depending on the systems to be updated with the Porsche service campaign.
