For a car without Porsche Connect or without Porsche Connect Plus
The installation of the Apple CarPlay interface provides the hardware required in the vehicle of using iPhone apps even in the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system. When you connect your phone via a USB charging cable, you can use phone “Apps” on your PCM display.
To use the apps, you need:
– iPhone 5 or higher with iOS 7.1 or higher
– Availability of Apple CarPlay
Note: For 2019.5 or newer Macan models (second generation Macan). Dealer Porsche PIWIS 3 installation and activation are required.
